44 people joined us on Zoom for “In The Footsteps of the Group of Seven” with Jim and Sue Waddington. The Waddingtons have made the research for this book into a side career that has occupied them throughout their marriage – some 40+ years. We could tell that it was truly a labour of love for them – as they persisted in seeking the physical origins of some 700 paintings by the Group of Seven and more; rather than seeming like work, the journey fed their love of outdoors, camping, canoeing, art, and even rug hooking. The book is out of stock now after multiple publications, and will probably come back into publication once the permissions are updated. The Waddingtons have generously donated the proceeds from the book and from their presentation fees to the Sudbury Museum.
