A Deep Dive Into the State of Canada’s Birds
Released in late 2024, the State of Canada’s Birds is your one-stop-shop for information on how birds in Canada are doing! In this talk we’ll look at how the State of Canada’s Birds was built, what it is, what it tells us, and what we can do to help birds across the country. The State of Canada’s Birds was developed in partnership by Birds Canada and Environment and Climate Change Canada.
Kyle Horner is the NatureCounts Engagement Coordinator for Birds Canada, and was a part of the team that developed the State of Canada’s Birds. Kyle is a career science communicator, avid naturalist, and a tour leader with Quest Nature Tours. He is an Ontario native now based in Delta, British Columbia.
This meeting will be on Zoom. The Zoom link is sent to our members and our email list a few days prior to the meeting, and otherwise people can access it immediately by signing up using the link on the home page “sign up for our email list”.
All are welcome to attend. Non-members are asked to contribute $5 towards program costs and they can pay in person or e-transfer to orillianaturalists@gmail.com.
