Outing Recap: Keall's Falls
We had 16 take part in the hike of Keall’s Falls and the covered bridge in Bracebridge. Thanks to Don Currie for leading. Although this is an urban property, we lost sight of any homes quickly and had pleasant walk towards the falls. 
 
Birds:
Blue Jays, robins, goldfinches, red wing blackbirds, chickadees…
Northern Cardinal
Red eyed vireo
Black billed cuckoo
Rose breasted grosbeak
American Redstart
Ruby-throated Hummingbird
Magnolia warbler (Merlin)
Chestnut sided warbler (Merlin)
Black/white warbler (Merlin)
 
Plants:
Stinging Nettle
Annual Fleabane
Tall Meadow Rue
Cucumber Root
Yellow Archangel or Lamium
Canada Mayflower
Blue bead Lily or Clintonia
A Hawthorn in bloom
And a wild Apple in bloom
 
One fungi:
Hemlock Varnish shelf (Ganoderma tsugae)
